Pupils studying at the School have been award winners at the All England Dance Competition Finals held at Sadlers Wells Theatre London.
CCDS Students have been Scholarship winners to the Royal Ballet School Junior and Senior Schools and the RAD International Summer School.
Students from the School have successfully auditioned to take part in ISTD videos produced for world-wide distribution promoting the accurate teaching of Classical Ballet with Corraine Collins as a filmed Instructor.
Former students of the School are currently training at various vocational schools with a view to pursuing careers in the Theatre. The School is delighted to boast that numerous former students are currently performing in Ballet Companies both in the UK and overseas, and that many more are performing in West End Theatres and Commercial Theatre both here and abroad.
Commercial Theatre work includes such shows as ‘Mama Mia,’ ‘Wicked,’ ‘Sunny Afternoon,’ ‘Mrs Henderson Presents,’ ‘Follies’ and ‘Cats’. Contemporary Companies such as the excellent ‘Richard Alston Company’ and ‘Emergence Dance.’
Pupils from the School regularly appear in local pantomines at The Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham, The Wyvern Theatre and The Roses Theatre, Tewkesbury. Students occasionally have the opportunity to appear in film and on T.V.
