A fun-packed week of varied activity. Our Students have the opportunity to experience classes in Jazz Dance, Tap, Drama, Hip Hop, Ballet, Folk, Musical Theatre, Irish dance and sometimes even Circus Skills!
The children have classes each day from 10.00am until 4.00pm and are chaperoned at all times. The course is open to children aged 5 years and over.
Our younger participants have an organized ‘Teddy Bear’s Picnic’ and Fancy Dress Competition during the course – with prizes for the winners!
Our older participants have the opportunity to work with guest Faculty members whose experiences are many and varied within the world of Theatre.
The week-long course culminates in a ‘Show and Tell’ type performance.
It is a wonderful opportunity to experience all types of dance and theatre in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere without the rigours of examination entry.
The ‘Tuck Shop’ and ‘Uniform-Free’ nature of the course also proves an added bonus!
The Course is open to both CCDS pupils and pupils from other Schools (with their Teacher’s written permission) We have had participants as far–flung as Eire, Cyprus, Germany and Malta. It is usually held during the first or second week of August.
