Commercial dance is a relatively new form of dance style in comparison to the established great dance genres recognized over previous years. It combines Jazz, Street, Hip-Hop, African, and a dancer’s individual flair whilst tapping into their own musical artistry.
True commercial dance involves a dancer utilising techniques learnt from ballet, tap, modern, and developing this in a commercial way to discover different dynamics.
Our Commercial classes at CCDS are led by Tom Goodall. Tom utilises his own theatrical experiences working with such artists as ‘Take That’, ‘Rihanna’, ‘Mamma Mia the movie’, ‘One Direction’, to steer our students in this dance genre.
