The happiest times of my life were spent at CCDS. Not only did the wonderful training help me get into my dream performing arts school, but I also found a safe haven and a family. CCDS shaped me into the person I am today, teaching me discipline, manners and compassion for others. I am forever grateful to all my teachers and friends at CCDS.

CCDS is so much more than a Dance School. Not only do you leave with outstanding training and technique, but also many life skills.

The ‘family’ feeling of being part of CCDS is something that I will never forget. The Teacher’s love and passion for their craft is so inspiring. I would definitely not be where I am today without their help and support!

I will be eternally grateful to CCDS!

Quite frankly without CCDS I wouldn’t be where I am today. As well as the most incredible training, not only in dance but in discipline and life in general, it was a family. Dancing at the studio was my safe space from such a young age, especially after going through some tough family times, knowing I could walk in the CCDS door to all of my friends and the incredible teachers was my therapy.

The level of training no doubt shaped my professional dance career. After dancing around the world and touring and performing with some incredible artists for the last 10 years, it all comes back to Corraine and her wonderful team for instilling that passion for our craft so early on. I can’t thank you enough!

All my love,
Lois

I gained a great deal of discipline and determination at CCDS. I learnt how to remain humble alongside celebrating success, keeping ‘my feet firmly on the ground,’ amongst the glitz and glam that is ‘show biz.’
I firmly believe these are vital attributes that are advantageous not only in this profession but in life in general. I am still a professional working dancer, choreographer who performs on large stages around the world for different artists. My work is varied, from dancing in an ’80s Tour’ for the BBC, working with brands, and producing shows for cruise lines.
Every week with a different challenge and different ‘hat to wear,’ my work varies hugely, but my professionalism has always been consistent which I know is thanks to the teachers and training at CCDS. I have only gained work in such a variety of jobs because of the solid technical training I received at CCDS. My entire childhood was spent at this dance school and I made the best memories that I treasure forever. I even chose to attend Gloucester Dance Festival rather than go on a school trip to New York! I think that shows how important CCDS was to me- loyalty and commitment are also other fantastic life skills!

There are so many wonderful things I can say about CCDS, but I hope this speaks for itself. I started at CCDS aged 10 and my incredible journey continued until I was 17, when I was lucky enough to be awarded a full scholarship to train at Bird College. After graduating from Bird College I went on to dance professionally in the Balearic Islands for a number of years before moving back to the UK and becoming a wedding celebrant and host.

I owe a lot of my success to this amazing school and the people I met there. When you see posts about the “CCDS family”, it’s exactly that. An extended family who really care and celebrate your successes, and support you when you need it. To this day I am still in regular contact with past students who are all doing amazing things with their lives.

During my time at the school, Miss Collins, Miss Sadie and Miss Andrea equipped me with all the necessary ability, focus and mantras (Miss Collins in particular with “Manners Maketh Man, and Ballerina!!”) which have driven me through life. They were, and continue to be, an inspiration to all who are fortunate enough to be in class with them. Their experience and knowledge knows no bounds and they are three of the women in my life to whom I will be forever grateful. Without them, I’m not sure I’d have even half of the experiences that I’ve been lucky enough to have had in my career.

Thank you so much, for everything!

I danced at Corraine Collins Dance Studios from the age of 4-18. Starting with ballet lessons, I very quickly wanted to participate in tap and modern as well. I not only enjoyed learning these genres but also made lifelong friendships. Throughout these 14 years I learnt invaluable lessons which enhanced my development into adulthood. I gained an understanding of commitment, discipline and being a team player through competing in festivals. Thanks to the outstanding training at Corraine Collins Dance Studios I was able to pursue dance at a professional level attending Performers College. I have now worked professionally in the UK and different parts of world.

A huge thank you to all the teachers at Corraine Collins dance studios!

Corraine Collins Dance Studios is head and shoulders above the rest, the discipline, determination and drive instilled in me from the age of three to sixteen by the wonderful teachers is still with me now.
Corraine has a way to spot talent and nurture young children to young adults. The classes, exams, festivals and shows give you life lessons of camaraderie, courage and most of all friendship. I am truly grateful from my time at CCDS for giving me so many lovely memories, experiences and joy that I will always cherish.
Learning poise, grace, to get knocked down and get back up I carry with me everyday through the industry.
Dance has a magical way of touching your soul and creating truly beautiful art that goes beyond words. Thank You CCDS for making my life so much richer.

Love and Thanks with all My Heart,

Blessings,

CCDS has to be one of the best places to train, in not only dance and theatre, but in discipline, work ethics and commitment, which is all done with a lot of encouragement and happiness. In the 16 years I trained there before going on to Bird College to complete a Dance Degree, I made some of my best friends and was taught by strong role models who were also top supporters. From the amazing teachers to the beautiful students they create, CCDS truly is somewhere exceptional. I couldn’t be more proud to have trained at CCDS and of the subsequent family that it created for us all.

My daughter, Lara, has danced at Corraine’s since she was 3 years old (now 17) and has loved every minute.

Great teachers and a friendly atmosphere. I shall miss it as much as Lara when she finally leaves later on this year.

Our daughter has danced at CCDS since 2017. In this time, she has grown significantly as a dancer and flourished as a young person: she has become more confident and resilient due to the amazing performing opportunities she has had. Through these experiences and their high quality teaching, the staff have inspired and nurtured many other positive qualities in our daughter. Even more importantly her CCDS friend network is more like a family and they have supported each other through happy and sad times. We are proud to be part of Team CCDS!!

Dancing here is so much more than a hobby. My girls live and breathe every minute of it.

The teaching is professional, the mums (and dads and grannies!) are a fabulous bunch and I know that our money is well spent.

If E and M turn out like ‘the big girls’ (past and present), I will be very happy!

My daughter loves every minute that she spends at CCDS, and has made so many close friends there. I have every confidence that she is being extremely well taught in ballet, modern and tap, by teachers who believe in her, and encourage her to aim for the highest standards, while also having fun.

As well as her ‘normal’ lessons, she has also hugely enjoyed a variety of opportunities like the Summer School, Choreography Competitions and the Flash Mob.
