Examinations of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing can be taken from five years of age. Every pupil in the school will be given the opportunity to take examinations, although it is not compulsory. However, pupils are encouraged to do so, partly as a measure of progress and also as a reward from months of hard work.

Pupils are entered at the sole discretion of the principal, with coaching classes for the examination candidates during the term of the examination. Senior pupils will also have the opportunity to take major examinations of the Royal Academy of Dancing.
